Award win is excellent says Salford construction worker
ADDING a coveted Seal of Excellence to a brace of ‘Quality’ awards, Andy Ryder has even more reason to be proud of the apartments he’s building in Salford.
Andy is special projects construction manager for Elan Homes and is overseeing construction of the Saltra X2 and X3 apartment scheme at Salford Quays.
Following a rigorous assessment by the NHBC Andy was named one of just 12 North West winners of the Seal of Excellence, putting him in the top 130 site managers nationwide.
He picked up the accolade at an awards ceremony at Hilton Deansgate in Manchester.
“This year I received my second consecutive Pride in the Job ‘Quality’ Award and I while I hoped that I had done enough to reach the next level and achieve the Seal of Excellence, it was a pleasant surprise to learn that I’d won,” Andy said.
“I’m absolutely made up and so are all the contractors. Everyone has worked very hard and we are handing over some superb apartments.”
Elan Homes is a niche developer with its northern headquarters in Ellesmere Port. The company is currently building at Cherry Tree Park, Stockport; Hall Gardens, Warrington; The Paddocks, Kelsall and Vicarage Fields, Haslington.
Marie Morris, sales director for Elan Homes in the North, said: “The Seal of Excellence is a testament to the hard work and commitment displayed by Andy and the team at Saltra X2 and X3. It also demonstrates that when it comes to the quality of our homes, we set our standards very high and this applies across all of our developments. Before we hand a property over to a customer we always ask ourselves ‘would I be proud to call this my home.’”
