Be first in line for a new home in Somerton’s artistic quarter

HOME will most certainly be where the ‘art’ is next weekend as Elan launches its latest development in Somerton’s newest creative quarter.

Elan Homes is releasing the much anticipated first properties for sale at Pippards Court, a brand new community of just seven exquisite townhouses on Pesters Lane, at a launch event at the Parish Rooms on Saturday, September 30.

Along with perusing brochures, images and floor plans for the stylish new homes, visitors to the launch event will also be treated to a small exhibition of artwork by a local art group.

Somerton Group of Artists will be displaying works and speaking to homebuyers about their activities within the local community.

Catherine Marshall, sales director for Elan Homes in the South, said: “This launch is a chance for those who have registered an interest in our new homes, and have been eagerly awaiting details, to meet with our team and find out more. We’d advise interested purchasers to call this week to register an interest and make an appointment to attend our event.

“Our spacious two-bedroom homes will be a superb addition to the town, giving people the option to live in the very hub of this fantastic community. It’s part of a wider mixed-use development along Pesters Lane, which also involves The Stepping Stone Group and Arts Care Education (ACE), to create a new Artistic Quarter where people can live, work and play.

“To help us highlight the creative spirit of the local area, we’re delighted that the Somerton Group of Artists will be attending our launch to showcase some of their wonderful works inside the Parish Rooms, where they are also based. We welcome aspiring homeowners and aspiring painters alike to come along to our event.”

Ann Fry, chair of Somerton Group of Artists, said: “We’re very much part of the Somerton community and meet regularly in the town to paint and for talks. We have more than 50 members and hold an annual exhibition. New members are also welcome and we’re looking forward to meeting potential members at this event.”

Elan will also be providing refreshments at the event as part of Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee morning and welcoming donations for the charity. Keen baker Catherine will be supplying a selection of homemade creations for visitors to sample in the hope of raising money to provide vital support to people facing cancer.

Each home at Pippards Court will boast its own garage and private enclosed garden, while the traditional architecture and stone features will blend beautifully with the existing homes in the locality.

Clevedon based Elan has developed a superb reputation among homebuyers in Somerset for creating top quality new developments in highly-desirable parts of the county, including Steinbeck Walk in Bruton and Kingsbury Gardens in Milborne Port.

Pippards Court will launch at the Parish Rooms, Market Square, Somerton on Saturday, September 30, between 10am and 5pm.  To make an appointment to attend the launch call Elan Homes on 0845 481 8801 or visit www.elan-homes.co.uk.
