Elan Homes is Sold Out on Stockport

Cherry Tree Park, Stockport

AS the final residents to prepare to move into Cherry Tree Park, Elan Homes is looking for additional land in Stockport to satisfy demand.

Looking to the future, making the most of brownfield sites is high on the agenda for the Greater Manchester Combined Authority as they produce the second draft of the Greater Manchester Spatial Framework. And while the masterplan isn’t due to be published until next summer, Elan is keen to work with landowners and planners now, promising to use a wealth of industry experience to bring housing projects to fruition at the earliest opportunity.

Andrew Morgan, land director for Elan Homes in the North, said: “The Great Manchester Spatial Framework will set out where land is available for homes and jobs up to 2035, but there’s a real need for new homes across the region now. The sell-out success we’ve achieved at Cherry Tree Park is a prime example of how we’ve used our expertise to transform part of a former hospital site to provide much needed new homes, most of which have been sold to local people. We want to give others in the area that same opportunity to own a brand new home and to do that, we obviously need to acquire additional land.”

Elan is a privately owned business with its North West headquarters in Ellesmere Port.

The company is committed to building in some of the region’s most desirable neighbourhoods across Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire and North Wales.

“Elan’s key objective is to build homes to meet local housing needs and at the same time to create vibrant and sustainable communities, where people really want to live,” Andrew added.

“We’ll consider land of varying sizes, from one acre upwards, with or without planning consent. Using our industry experience and knowledge of the local housing market, we’ll assess the potential of a site, taking into consideration who would want to live there and then work closely with landowners and the local authority to progress through the planning process.”

Anyone with land with development potential available is asked to contact Elan via the website www.elan-homes.co.uk/land-enquiries.
