Elan looks for land to satisfy housing demand
WITH a second sell-out success in the Warrington area, Elan Homes is keen to acquire additional land to help satisfy demand.
Like Gosling Park in Croft before it, Hall Gardens in Lower Walton has been a popular choice with discerning buyers. The final property there has now been sold, but recognising it’s somewhere people really want to live, Elan is looking for fresh opportunities to build in the area.
Andrew Morgan, land director for Elan Homes in the North, explained: “A recent study by uSwitch ranked Warrington as one of the best places for families to live and this certainly rings true in our experience. There’s a real gap between supply and demand in the area and we want to redress that by identifying and acquiring land with development potential.
“Even before we sold the final property at Gosling Park we were keen to acquire additional land in the area. The Hall Gardens site presented the perfect opportunity to build on our previous success in the area. We’ve now sold all of the homes at Hall Gardens, but are still in the market for more land not just in the Warrington area but across the North West as we look to expand our business.”
Elan has a number of sites that are going through the planning process and others that are under contract but not yet acquired.
The niche developer, with its northern headquarters in Ellesmere Port, will consider parcels of land from an acre upwards principally in Cheshire, Merseyside, Warrington, Sefton and Manchester.
“As Gosling Park and Hall Gardens have demonstrated perfectly, Elan has a proven track record of securing land of some of the most desirable addresses,” Andrew added.
“The experienced team adopt a sensitive approach to planning and will work closely with landowners to progress plans that mean that developments are not only viable, but that we’re creating new homes that people want to live in while supporting and enhancing the existing community infrastructure.
