Elan’s new recruit makes himself at home !

LIVING in a new build home himself, Elan Homes sales executive Ken Murray is using his personal experience to help customers.

Just a few months into the role, Ken, 29, is enjoying the job, having welcomed the first residents to Westminster Place near Chester. He then moved to Cherry Tree Park in Stockport, where he sold the final property, before relocating to Sycamore Gardens in Congleton.

“I myself have experienced buying new build house and got talking to people who recommended I moved into new homes sales industry. Although selling new homes is completely different, I have skills from previous experience working in lettings and estate agency that are transferrable to the customer journey of the new homes industry” Ken explains.

“You have to be comfortable face to face with customers, there is a need to personable and understand the customer’s needs. Having been on the customers’ side myself I know the stages involved and I can put myself in their shoes, the priority is putting customers first and looking after them.”

The combination of his personal and professional experience is helping Ken settle into his new role.

Having worked in lettings he’s accustomed to trying to match people with the right property to meet their housing needs and is enjoying giving potential purchasers tours of the show and view homes.

“There’s lots of positivity in new homes sales,” Ken adds. “All of the customers are excited about the prospect of moving to a property where everything’s new and at Elan Homes of a very high specification.”

Westminster Place, off Sandy Lane, between Saighton and Huntington, features two, to five-bedroom homes, with current prices from £274,995.

Sycamore Gardens in Congleton is an exclusive development of just 10 homes, with four and five-bedroom designs available from £344,995.
