Find your first home in Haslington
FIRST time buyers could stop saving and start climbing the property ladder in Haslington with Help to Buy.
The Government’s equity loan scheme is designed to make homeownership easier to afford and is available on all new homes at Vicarage Fields, Haslington, near Crewe.
Buying in this way could enable those starting out in life to buy sooner than they hoped or to purchase a property where they can go on to raise a family without needing to move again.
For example, a three-bedroom detached Highgate could be secured with savings of around £10,000.
Marie Morris, sales director for Elan Homes in the North, says: “It can take several years to raise enough money to be able to buy your first home and according to Aviva first time buyers underestimate the costs associated with homeownership by more than £6,000. As well as the deposit, there’s things like stamp duty, legal fees and if you’re buying an older property, essential repairs.
“What people may not appreciate is that Help to Buy could stretch their budget rather than break the bank as typically someone buying in this way should only need a 5% deposit. Plus while older properties typically need around £4,000 worth of DIY, that won’t be necessary with a brand new home.”
Current prices at Vicarage Fields start from £204,995 for a three-bedroom detached Highgate. Help to Buy reduces the initial cost of this home o £163,995. It means that a customer with a deposit of £10,250 should only need a 75% mortgage as the remaining 20% is covered by the equity loan. Crucially, the equity loan is interest free for five years.
All of the homes at Vicarage Fields are designed with ease of living in mind. The high specification offered by Elan includes integrated kitchen appliances as standard; while bathrooms and en-suites feature quality fixtures and fittings.
Customers will be able to enjoy the peace of mind, knowing that their new home comes with a 10 year Build Mark Warranty.
Properties at Vicarage Fields development enjoy a rural outlook, but with strong commuter links.
Crewe train station is less than 10 minutes’ drive away, putting Chester, Stoke, Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham within easy reach.
Buyers will find everything they need to know about the neighbourhood and their new home in their Home User Guide (HUG).
