Location tops the list for Bruton new homebuyers

WITH just two homes remaining on the market, Elan is putting the fast-paced success of its popular Steinbeck Walk development in Bruton down to its perfect location.

The exclusive, select development of just nine homes was a runaway success when the homes launched late last summer, and Elan is confident of a sell out before the development is even 12 months old.

Catherine Marshall, sales director at Elan Homes in the South, says: “We named the development after the writer John Steinbeck, who spent the ‘happiest six months of his life’ in Bruton.

“And we’re sure our home buyers here would agree, given the location is one of top places to live in the country, according to the Sunday Times, and the homes hold wide appeal.

“Families have moved here to be close to the good schools that Bruton offers and the location has also been a draw for other reasons too. The village offers a wealth of outstanding leisure opportunities from art galleries to the very best restaurants and delightful tearooms. City life is a train ride away to Bristol, Bath or London and the fact that it’s surrounded by beautiful countryside only adds to the attraction.”

Both of the final homes on release – the Mylen and the Brandon – are ready to move in to now, perfect timing for families with children, who can get settled into their new home during the summer holidays.

The four-bedroom Brandon offers a layout perfect for modern family living, with an open plan kitchen/dining/family room, a utility room, downstairs cloakroom and a spacious lounge with French doors opening out to the garden. Upstairs, there is a generous master suite with en-suite shower room, the remaining three bedrooms and family bathroom. It’s priced at £340,000 and Elan will pay the stamp duty for a limited period plus fitted carpets.

Meanwhile, the Mylen four-bedroom detached is priced at £305,000. Downstairs, there is large lounge with French doors opening out to the garden, a kitchen/breakfast room, separate dining room – which also boasts French doors – plus a handy utility and cloakroom

Upstairs the master bedroom benefits from an en-suite shower room, while three further bedrooms and a family bathroom complete the home.

Catherine adds: “Elan’s focus is very much on designing homes perfect for modern family life, combining traditional exteriors with well laid out, modern interiors. The final homes at Steinbeck Walk reflect that perfectly and it’s only a matter of time before they are snapped up.”
