New homes coming soon to Congleton
WORK to create 10 new homes in Congleton will commence next month, niche developer Elan Homes has confirmed.
The Cheshire-based homebuilder has secured planning permission for the development on Biddulph Road.
Known as Sycamore Gardens, the scheme will offer a mixture of four and five-bedroom properties ranging in size from 1,283 sq ft to 1,766 sq ft.
Marie Morris, sales director for Elan Homes in the North, said: “Congleton is a prime residential area with a real sense of community and somewhere people really want to live. Sycamore Gardens will be a fantastic addition to the local market, offering a choice of four and five-bedroom properties that are sure to appeal to families and young professionals.
“We’ll be starting work on site in September, with a view to releasing the first properties for sale towards the end of the year and would encourage prospective purchasers to register their interest at the earliest opportunity if they would like to be kept informed of our progress.”
The homes will be built on a near two acre area of land in the former grounds of Mossley House. Elan will retain many of the mature trees while ensuring that the vacant land is brought back into good use and the remnants of the old building structure are cleared.
“Sycamore Gardens will enjoy a leafy setting with a number of mature trees within and around the development, creating an environment that future residents will be able to enjoy for many years” Marie added.
“We’ll also be making a £5,000 to the local council for off-site tree planting and will be helping to preserve the natural environment by providing bird boxes and following a mitigation strategy that ensures local ecology is protected.”
The new homes will benefit from a host of strong local amenities. They will be ideally placed for buyers with children as Mossley C of E Primary School and Daven Primary School are both within walking distance; while Congleton and James Bateman high schools are also within easy reach.
The neighbourhood also offers a good choice of restaurants and is home to golf and shooting clubs. It also boasts strong transport links.
