New homes near Chester are best location and value

BUYERS looking to for a new home in one of the ‘best places to live in Britain’ are invited to visit Westminster Place near Chester.

The historic city is a much sought-after place to live and regularly features in guides to homebuyer hotspots. Most recently Chester was included in the Sunday Times’ annual ‘best places to live’ with the newspaper listing its attractive centre, schools and access to glorious countryside as among the area’s key features.

Elan Homes has a reputation for building in highly desirable neighbourhoods and recognises that Chester is one of the best places to live. The company previously built apartments in the city centre at Riverside at the Racecourse and is currently selling family-sized homes just a few miles away at Westminster Place, between the villages of Saighton and Huntington.

Homes at Westminster Place are ideally placed to achieve the perfect balance between city and countryside living.

There are village shops and a supermarket within easy reach, while the city centre is just 10 minutes away by car and offers a combination of high street names and boutique stores.

The area is well served by well-regarded state and private schools – including Saighton C of E Primary, the independent Abbey Gate College and Huntington Community Primary – making it a perfect place to settle down and raise a family.

Marie Morris, sales director for Elan Homes in the North, says: “As a Cheshire based business we pride ourselves in our knowledge and understanding of the local housing market and so it was no surprise to see Chester ranks among the ‘best places to live’ in the country. What may surprise homebuyers however is the competitive price of our new homes. The Sunday Times lists detached family homes in the area as costing more than £375,000, whereas we offer excellent value and a high specification as standard, with detached properties available at Westminster Place for almost £100,000 less than that.”

Westminster Place offers a good choice of three, four and five-bedroom homes. Current prices are from £279,995 for the three-bedroom detached Marford, with four-bedroom detached designs available from £349,995.

Help to Buy equity loans are available giving buyers the chance to reduce the initial cost of a brand new home by up to 20%. Those buying in this way typically only need a 5% deposit and 75% mortgage as the balance is covered by the equity loan, which is interest free for five years.

Show and view homes at Westminster Place are open Thursday to Monday from 10am – 5pm.
