New homes team hoping to whip up a successful coffee morning

A CAKE-MAKING sales team will be bringing their baking talents to the fore when Elan hosts a coffee morning in aid of Macmillan in South Molton next Friday (September 29).

It’s the third year that the housebuilder has hosted events as part of The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning at its developments across the South West.

Employees at The Gateway, off Station Road, will be providing a selection of refreshments between 10am and 12pm for visitors to enjoy in return for a donation to the cancer charity.

Catherine Marshall, sales director for Elan in the South, said: “It’s become a tradition to host the coffee mornings each year and it’s a great way for the local community to come together for a good cause. Many of us in the sales team enjoy baking so it’s a great way to put our skills to the test to create cakes for these events.

“We’ll also be providing tea, coffee and other refreshments throughout Friday morning at The Gateway. Everyone is welcome to come along and join us and hopefully raise some funds for a terrific charity.”

The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event for people facing cancer. People all over the UK host their own Coffee Mornings and donations on the day are made to Macmillan. Last year alone the events raised £29.5 million and this year the charity is aiming to raise even more.

Elan is building 150 new homes at The Gateway, located between Parsonage Lane and Station Road, in South Molton. For more information visit www.elan-homes.co.uk/elan-at-the-gateway-south-molton.
