Two such homebuyers are Michael and Heather Crowe who married in the summer last year and immediately started to look to for a new home to buy together. “We were looking for a new home in a modern development, which was located close to our work,” says Michael. “This is what initially attracted us to Oakwood Grange.

“We soon discovered the Warwickshire Elegance, a house type that suited us down to the ground, so we paid our deposit at an early stage of the construction process, in fact only the floor slab had been laid!

“We were really impressed by how quickly our home was built as we kept an eager eye on progress. Our working relationship with both the Elan Homes sales representative and site foreman was very good, they were so helpful and they regularly kept us updated. It was really useful to be able to have a look around our plot at arranged intervals throughout the construction process. This helped us to visualise the house better and it effectively allowed us to measure up, so that we could purchase furniture for our new home.

“Because we were involved at an early enough stage, we were able to choose some of the internal finishes, such as the kitchen and tiles, which was great because we were able to begin personalising our home from the very beginning. We also wanted to make a few changes to the house, to add our own personal touch and Elan Homes were really accommodating about our requirements.

“We have now been living in our home for three months. We think that it has an extremely well thought out layout and the rooms are very spacious. The finishes are of a high standard and there are lots of nice little touches.

“The development is very pleasant with a nature reserve running along side, which attracts a lot of wildlife. We have local shops and facilities just around the corner, our neighbours have made us feel very welcome and we look forward to developing the rear garden this summer, which will be our next little project.

“We are so pleased with our lovely new home, we are really settled and we feel that it is somewhere where we would like to stay for a long time.”
