South Liverpool buyers urged look to the future

THE countdown to Christmas is in full swing, but those who want to ring the changes in a new home in South Liverpool in 2017 are being urged to act now.

Homes at Aigburth Grange are in demand with eight of the properties already sold and many others subject to ‘early bird’ reservations.

While other potential purchasers are eagerly awaiting the opening of a show home, scheduled for early in the New Year, those who act now could find that they’re able to bag a bargain much better than those available in the January sales.

Marie Morris, sales director for Elan Homes in the North, says: “The New Year is generally a busy time for the housing industry as people look to make changes to their lifestyle and living arrangements. While we’ve had initial ‘off plan’ success at Aigburth Grange, some people are waiting until they can view the show home before they commit to buy. What they may not realise is that if they reserve now they’ll be able to take advantage of pre-show home prices, which could amount to a substantial saving. Plus, by buying early in the build process they’ll have more opportunities to personalise their property than if they wait.”

Current availability at Aigburth Grange includes the three-bedroom semi-detached Glossop.

On the market at £247,995, it features a kitchen to the front, with combined lounge/ dining room to the rear, plus a convenient cloakroom.

Upstairs, there are three bedrooms, plus the family bathroom.

“The Glossop makes for a great first home and also lends itself perfectly for those starting a family or with young children,” Marie adds.

“Plus, with Help to Buy equity loans available the initial cost of setting up home is reduced. Someone buying in this way should only need a 5% deposit and 75% mortgage as the remaining 20% is covered by the equity loan, which is interest free for five years.”

Using Help to Buy the Glossop can be secured with a deposit of £12,400 and a mortgage of £185,996. The remaining £49,599 is covered by the equity loan, which can be repaid when the customer has more funds available or when they resell.

The new homes at Aigburth Grange are being built in a popular area of South Liverpool just three miles from the city centre and home to a range of shops, bars and restaurants. The green open spaces of Sefton Park are nearby, plus there’s a great choice of schools, including those ranked among the best in the country.
