Wayne Adds Second Award to His Tool Belt
ELAN Homes site manager Wayne Aron is celebrating after picking up a second top industry award.
Wayne, who oversees the construction of new homes at Westminster Place, near Chester has received a Pride in the Job ‘Quality’ Award from the NHBC (National House Building Council) putting him in the top 450 or around 16,000 site managers across the UK.
Wayne said: “There around 30 people working on site at Westminster Place each day and the award is a recognition of the work done by each and every one of them – it’ a real team effort. We’re all really pleased.”
Judging for the awards includes spot checks of the day-to-day running of their site plus assessments of technical knowledge, consistency in the build process, leadership and organisational skills.
Only site managers who demonstrate exceptional standards in every aspect of their work on site and in the homes they build will be considered for a Pride in the Job Award.
“I’ve worked in the construction industry for more than 20 years,” said Wayne, who started out as a bricklayer and progressed up the career ladder.
“It’s important to maintain quality standards not just for the judges, but for customers. The award should give homeowners reassurance that their home is a superb product, finished to a high standard.”
Current availability at Westminster Place includes the four-bedroom Ashley, priced from £299,995.
Show and view homes at Westminster Place are open Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5pm.
