Building up rather than out, Elan Homes is offering a sustainable solution to family life at its latest development in Kinver.
Known as The Hyde, it will offer a total of 45 homes across five acres, with a choice of two, three and four-bedroom homes, including a rare opportunity to own a brand new bungalow.
Elan Homes began constructing new homes at The Hyde in January but suspended work in March due to COVID-19 restrictions. Construction workers returned in May in restricted numbers ahead of the first homes being released for sale “off plan”, by appointment only, last month.
Elan Regional Sales Director Tracey Ball said: “We’ve received dozens of enquiries from potential purchasers interested in living at The Hyde. Many of them are either waiting for the show home to open or for specific properties to be released for sale. The initial release includes two and three-bedroom homes, including some three-storey townhouses, which could be ready to move into before Christmas.
“Homes set out over three floors, like the Whitley are ideal for those who are exploring ways of reducing their environmental impact by living more sustainably as they make best use of the land available. They’re also more energy efficient than similar-sized older properties, making them kinder to the environment and potentially cheaper to run.”
The Whitley offers 949 sq ft of living space including, at ground level, an open plan kitchen and dining room with Juliet balcony, plus separate lounge with French doors leading to the rear garden and a cloakroom. On the first floor are three bedrooms, one with en-suite, plus the family bathroom.
This home also features an integral garage, with a utility at lower ground level.
The Whitley is currently available from £335,000, with a flooring package available for key workers and first time buyers.
Further releases at The Hyde will include bungalows and four-bedroom family homes.
A show home at the development is scheduled to open in late summer/ early autumn.
The thriving community of Kinver, a historic village with ancient timbered buildings on the banks of the River Stour, has a wealth of local amenities, which will benefit from the development by Elan Homes, thanks to their investment to provide a play area and improve local facilities.
With Birmingham and Kidderminster both within easy reach, The Hyde is a great base for commuters.
