EAGERLY AWAITED NEW HOMES IN TAMWORTH ON SALE

HOTLY anticipated new homes in Tamworth are now on sale “off plan” in response to demand.

Elan Homes had amassed a database of more than 400 potential purchasers who’d expressed an interest in just 37 new homes being built on Dosthill Road.

Due to the volume of enquiries, the homebuilder has released the first few properties “off plan” via its development in nearby Elford.

Elan regional sales director Tracey Ball said: “The site of our new homes in Tamworth has long been earmarked for development. After decades of delays, we’re pleased to be helping cater for local housing demand with the launch of our Dosthill Gate development. While it’s small in scale, we’ve planned a good mix of homes to appeal to a range of buyers of budgets. Even the initial release offers plenty of choice – from two-bedroom properties suitable for first time buyers and downsizers to substantial family homes.

“The advantage of launching from another development is that potential purchasers can see the quality and finish we offer, giving them a solid insight as to what to expect from our new homes in Tamworth.”

Current prices at Dosthill Gate start from £275,000 for a two-bedroom semi-detached Malham. There’s also a three-bedroom semi-detached Tatton Special, available from £310,000 and a four-bedroom detached Malvern, priced from £400,000.

A show home at the development is due to open in the summer, with the first homes due to be ready to move into in autumn/ winter.

Elan’s new homes will achieve a minimum EPC rating of B, meaning their eligible for green mortgages from selected lenders.

Research by the HBF suggests the gap between the cost of running a new home and an older one is increasing. They estimate that the difference between annual bills in a new home and an older property is currently £2,600 and could rise to £3,100 when the energy price guarantee increases in July,” Tracey added.

Elan’s new homes at Dosthill Gate are being built in an area with broad appeal. With primary and secondary schools around a mile away, it’s a great place to raise a family. Dosthill Park Local Nature Reserve offers somewhere close to home to enjoy the outdoors and includes a children’s play area. For those who want to indulge in the trend for cold water swimming, there’s the option to register to take a dip in the spa lake at Dosthill Quarry.

Ventura Retail Park, home to shops, restaurants and supermarkets, is just over two miles away; while nearby Wilnecote train station provides services to Birmingham New Street and Nottingham, making it a great base for commuters.

Ahead of the show home at Dosthill Gate opening in the summer, properties at the development are available to reserve off plan from Elan’s Seven Acres development in nearby Elford. For more information see https://www.elan-homes.co.uk/developments/dosthill-gate.
