FIRST CLASS INTERIOR DESIGN IN CASTLE CARY

Pupils from a Castle Cary Primary School have had top marks for their interior design skills from developers Elan Homes.

A show home at the company’s popular Weavers Field development features designs inspired by the children, who entered a competition to create their dream bedroom.

The pirate-themed room greets visitors to the development in Station Road in the historical market town, which offers a collection of three and four bedroom homes.

Head teacher Sarah Martin brought pupils Ceyda Lilly, Eve Duffel and Naomi Manson along to the development to collect their prizes of book tokens for the winning entries.

Ceyda, aged 10, won first prize for her pirate bedroom, 9 year old Eve won second place for her beach bedroom and 6 year old Naomi got third place for her butterfly inspired bedroom.

Sarah said : “All of the pupils created very imaginative drawings and came up with some lovely ideas. It was great to see Ceyda’s dream room brought to life at the development in her dream pirate bedroom.”

Tracey Ball, Regional Sales Director for Elan Homes, said: “All the children are obviously very talented interior designers. Ceyda’s design has created a colourful room, perfect for a child who wants a fun space to sleep and play. We were delighted to receive their drawings – we would certainly give them top marks for creativity.”

The Belvoir show home which features the winning designs, includes a dining room to the front, a separate lounge with French doors to the garden, a spacious kitchen breakfast room – also with French door leading outside – and a handy cloakroom.

Upstairs it boasts a master bedroom with en-suite, three further bedrooms and a family bathroom, whilst outdoors includes a garage and parking space.

Weavers Fields is ideal for families thanks to its location on the outskirts of the Somerset town of Castle Cary, with traditional shops, pubs and a weekly market, excellent commuter links and a choice of primary and secondary schools, including Castle Cary Primary School.

The development enjoys the benefit of the Fairfield Community Project on its doorstep, offering 4.5 acres of open space and pathways.

Weavers Field, in Station Road, is open Monday to Friday, 10am to 5pm. To register interest, or for further information, contact Elan on 0845 481 8803 or visit www.elan-homes.co.uk .
