Elan promises investment in Tarporley
TARPORLEY High School will receive almost £30,000 as a direct result of new homes being built in the Cheshire village.
Niche developer Elan Homes, whose Northern headquarters are in Ellesmere Port, has planning permission to build 18 homes on a near two acre site off Birch Heath Road, Tarporley.
The majority of the properties will be substantial family homes and so Elan is keen to invest in the local infrastructure and amenities, including providing funds for school improvements, local play areas and green space, to benefit those already living in the area and its customers.
Richard Dean, land acquisition director for Elan Homes in the North, says: “We take pride in the fact that we have established a solid reputation as a quality builder thanks to our considerate approach to the planning process and commitment to ensuring our developments are sustainable. We’ve used our professional expertise and flexible, yet sensitive approach to secure full planning consent for 18 new homes in Tarporley.
“As part of our plans for the development we’ve agreed to contribute almost £6,000 towards improving local play and public open space facilities. We will also gift more than £28,000 towards secondary education at Tarporley High School and provide public open space within the development.”
Building work is due to start this summer, with the first homes scheduled to go on sale in spring/summer 2016.
There will be 13 homes for private sale in a choice of three, four and five-bedroom designs, spanning up to 2,100 square feet. The remaining five properties will be affordable homes with two and three-bedrooms.
“Work to prepare the land for the new homes will be starting soon, but we’re also on the lookout for new sites in desirable locations and are keen to hear from anyone with land available for development,” Richard adds.
