POSITIVE MOVES FOR THE POYNTON HOUSING MARKET

SALES of new homes in Poynton are picking up, buoyed by homeowners who put their properties on the market at the start of the year securing buyers.

Elan Homes, the company behind the Hazelfields development on Hazelbadge Road, has seen an increase in sales and enquiries in recent weeks.

With increased options now available to help homebuyers, the developer is anticipating further sales.

Marie Morris, sales director for Elan Homes in the North, said: “There’s been an improvement in the housing market in Poynton and the surrounding areas in recent weeks. This has in part been fuelled by people who put their current property on the market in January now being sold subject to contract starting to look for their next home. As a result, we’ve seen an increase in enquiries from people looking for a new home in Poynton, leading to five sales in as many weeks. We’ve also partnered with Own New to offer Rate Reducer, a scheme that gives buyers access to lower interest rates and reduced monthly mortgage repayments during the initial mortgage period. It's exclusive to new homes and could make a real difference to buyers’ budgets.”

Own New Rate Reducer is available on selected new homes at Hazelfields, where current availability includes a choice of three, four and five-bedroom detached homes, priced from £499,995 to £834,995.

Alternatively, Elan is offering a 5% deposit boost or the homebuilder will help those with a property to sell with its EasyMove or part exchange schemes.

Among the homes available at Hazelfields is the four-bedroom detached Rochester. Priced from £579,995, it includes £15,000 worth of extras such as upgraded kitchen and worktop, flooring throughout and turf to the rear garden.

“Homes at Hazelfields have broad appeal, attracting a mix of buyers including downsizers looking for a home that’s easy to manage and efficient to run, plus families who want to be close to good local schools,” Marie added. “Lower Park Primary is opposite our development, while independent options include Stockport Grammar and Cheadle Hulme School, both of which feature in the Sunday Times Parent Power guide 2024. Manchester, Macclesfield and Stockport are all within easy reach of our new homes in Poynton, with Stockport named as the best place to live in the North West by the Sunday Times.”

The show home at Hazelfields is open Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5pm. Find out more via https://www.elan-homes.co.uk/developments/hazelfields.
