Event to shed light on Help to Buy Wales
PROSPECTIVE buyers are invited to come along to a special event that will enable them to understand a new Government scheme which could help them purchase a brand new home.
The Help to Buy Wales scheme applies to all properties at Elan Homes’ Parc Gwyn Faen development in Gorseinon. At the event, to be held on Saturday, February 8, a team of home and mortgage experts will be on hand to bust any myths about the scheme and advise buyers of the financial support available to them.
Help to Buy Wales
Andrea Nippe, sales director for Elan in the South, said: “Help to Buy Wales has thrown buyers a lifeline so we want to make sure that everyone understands its benefits. For instance, it’s a common misconception that Help to Buy is only available to first time buyers, so we want to explain how families moving up the ladder to a larger home could also take advantage.
“In essence, Help to Buy provides all types of homebuyers with an equity loan for up to 20% of their new home’s purchase price. This means, on a four-bedroom detached home priced at £199,995, homebuyers could receive a loan from the Government for just under £40,000, which is interest free for five years. That’s an exceptional offer, which is simply not available from any bank or mortgage provider.
“For those still unsure about how it could work for them, we’d urge them to come and see us on Saturday, February 8 so we can explain the scheme in full.”
Parc Gwyn Faen, on Brynafon Road, will eventually feature a total of 30 three and four-bedroom homes. Its picturesque location, close to the River Loughor and on the doorstep of the magnificent Gower Peninsula, has been a major selling point. Prices are currently from £191,995.
Gorseinon is just a couple of miles from the M4 offering easy access to nearby or Cardiff and Mid Wales. Gowerton railway station is only 15 minutes away with regular trains to London and the Midlands.
