New neighbourhood blooms in Stockport
A VISIT to Cherry Tree Park in Stockport could still prove fruitful for home buyers – but they’ll need to hurry if they want to put down roots at the popular development.
The vast majority of properties at the Elan Homes’ venture have now been sold, with dozens of homeowners now living in the new neighbourhood. While opportunities to join them are limited, there’s still a choice of homes available including three-storey townhouses and properties set out over two floors.
There’s even the chance to purchase the Ashley A view home complete with flooring, light fittings and turfed garden.
Marie Morris, sales director for Elan Homes in the North, says: “Part of the appeal of Cherry Tree Park is that the homes are being built in an established residential area with good local amenities including schools, a library, shops and restaurants all within easy reach. Factor in the high specification of our homes and the ease of living they offer and it’s no surprise that demand has been and remains high. Now that the final few homes are available we’d encourage those hoping to move here to act fast or they could soon find they’ve left it too late.”
Prices start from £287,495 for the Ashley A view home, a four-bedroom mews style property offering 1,229 sq ft of living space set out over three floors.
On the ground floor there’s a kitchen with breakfast area to the front; while at the rear of the property there’s a spacious lounge/ dining room with French doors leading out to the garden. A cloakroom completes this level.
Two bedrooms, including one which could perhaps be used as a study, plus the family bathroom are on the first floor.
The remaining two bedrooms, including master with en-suite, are on the top floor.
For those looking for a home arranged over two floors, there’s a choice of the Durham or Richmond, both detached properties with four bedrooms.
Priced from £289,995, the Richmond has been carefully designed to make the most of the space available. Almost all of the ground floor is open plan, with a lounge at the front of the property leading through to the kitchen and dining area at the rear. There’s also a convenient downstairs cloakroom.
Upstairs, there are four bedrooms and the family bathroom.
The largest of the homes available is the Durham, spanning 1,152 sq ft and priced from £319,995. It includes a lounge to the front, with open plan kitchen and dining room to the rear. A cloakroom completes the ground floor. Upstairs, the master bedroom benefits from an en-suite, with the family bathroom serving the other three bedrooms.
All of the homes at Cherry Tree Park can potentially be purchased with Help to Buy. The Government-backed scheme gives buyers the chance to buy a brand new home with a 5% deposit and 75% mortgage. The remaining 20% is covered by an equity loan, which is interest free for five years,
