Summer launch planned for new homes in Chester
PLANS for the final phase of new homes on the site of a former army training centre in Chester are marching on with legions of potential purchasers already lined up.
A consortium of developers has been regenerating the 34 hectare former Saighton Camp in Huntington in recent years having divided the land into sections.
Elan’s Westminster Place development forms part of the final parcel of land. The Ellesmere Port based niche developer recently received planning approval from Cheshire West & Chester Council.
Work is soon to start and as the scheme has already caught the attention of potential purchasers Elan is responding to the demand with plans to release the properties for sale ‘off plan’ this summer.
Marie Morris, sales director for Elan Homes in the North, said: “Cheshire is our home county and we have a proven track record of creating highly desirable new neighbourhoods in some of the best locations in the area. The Huntington area is no exception and it’s therefore no surprise that we’re already collating a database of people who want to own a home at Westminster Place.
“The development is still in its early stages and we’ll be keeping those who’ve registered their interest of our progress as we work towards releasing the first properties for sale ‘off plan’ in July.”
Westminster Place will feature 40 properties in a mix of two, three, four and five-bedroom mews and detached designs, including 10 affordable homes.
Located just a few miles from Chester city centre, ranked as one of the Best Places to Live in Britain, by the Sunday Times, the homes will enjoy a best of both worlds appeal. Residents will be able to embrace the semi-rural lifestyle, as there are village shops, a supermarket and well regarded schools nearby; while also being able to head into the city perhaps for a meal or retail therapy. Easy access to the M53 and A55 means the homes will be a great commuter base.
