The Glossop house type at Aigburth Grange

Elan Homes is hosting a Help to Buy event to explain how the scheme could enable people to step onto the housing ladder and perhaps even miss a rung by purchasing a larger property than they expected.

Help to Buy agents and independent financial advisors will join Elan’s friendly and knowledgeable sales executives to answer visitors’ questions, helping to make buying a brand new home simple and straight forward.

Marie Morris, sales director for Elan Homes in the North, says: “Hundreds of thousands of people have used Help to Buy over the last five years, but there are still those who either aren’t familiar with the scheme or what it means for them.

“For example, lots of the enquiries we’ve received at Aigburth Grange are from first time buyers who think they can only afford a two-bedroom home and that they will have to wait for that size property to be built on the next phase. The reality is that with Help to Buy they may find that they’re able to buy a three or even four-bedroom home and move much sooner. We’re inviting anyone who wants to learn more about the scheme to join us at Aigburth Grange on Saturday, where we’ll have experts on hand to help.”

Current availability at Aigburth Grange includes the three-bedroom semi-detached Glossop, priced from £249,995, and four-bedroom detached Sheldon, from £319,995.

Help to Buy gives buyers the chance to reduce the initial cost of a brand new home with the offer of an equity loan for up to 20% of the purchase price. Crucially, the equity loan is interest free for five years.

Those who take out the full equity loan should only need a relatively small deposit of around 5%, plus a 75% mortgage from their chosen lender.

Located on Aigburth Road, just a few miles from the city centre, the new homes offer a wealth of facilities on their doorstep, including Liverpool’s famous bohemian street, Lark Lane and the magnificent 235 acre, historic Sefton Park.

To learn more about Help to buy, join Elan at Aigburth Grange this Saturday (February 10). The show home at the development is open Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5pm. For the latest availability see or call 0845 250 8677.
