Elan Homes will close the popular Mossley Gardens development over the busiest time for property searches

IT’S the most popular Elan Homes development ever but the homebuilder will close Mossley Gardens over what’s predicted to be busiest period for property searches.

An unprecedented 1,500 people registered their interest in homes at Mossley Gardens in South Liverpool. Demand is such that the show homes are available to view by appointment only.

But while the period between Christmas and New Year has become one of THE busiest times for people to search for property, Elan will close the Mossley Gardens development in South Liverpool from December 23 through to January 2 to give their staff a well-earned break.

Elan Homes saw a 45% increase in visitors to its website on Boxing Day 2018 compared with November 26 that year. The homebuilder also reports that web traffic on December 26, 2018 was 70% higher than the same date in 2017.

As more people start their search for a new home online, Elan is encouraging buyers to act now to beat the post-Christmas rush.

Marie Morris, sales director for Elan Homes in the North, said: “Traditionally pre-Christmas is a quieter time for the property market, but we want to shake things up and help get people moving sooner rather than later. We would recommend anyone hoping to move in 2020 starts their search now to beat the rush.

“The increase in visitors to our website between Christmas and New Year correlates with a surge in visitors to our developments in January. We could open our show homes between the festivities, but choose not to so that our sales teams can spend quality time with loved ones.”

Current availability at Mossley Gardens includes four and five-bedroom detached and semi-detached designs, with prices from £474,995.

Generously proportioned, with a superb specification as standard, the homes at Mossley Gardens are perfect for growing families in search of extra space.

Situated in the sought-after Mossley Hill area of Liverpool, they enjoy a prime location close to the historic Sefton Park, some of the North West’s top performing schools and the cosmopolitan café culture of Lark Lane, plus just a few miles from the city centre.
