Things to do around Shuttington

Our new build homes near Tamworth are located within walking distance of a range of amenities, including a delightful local pub (The Wolferstan Arms), Shuttington Parish Hall, and a Village Supermarket. 

If the Village Supermarket doesn’t have what you need, a 10-minute drive will lead you into Tamworth, where you’ll find Lidl, Morrisons, ASDA and Sainsbury’s.  

And while you’re in Tamworth, why not browse in a few of the high-street stores available at Ankerside Shopping Centre and Ventura Retail Park? Tamworth is also home to plenty of independent shops, cafés and restaurants to explore.  

There’s also family fun for all to be had nearby, with Tamworth Castle, Daytona Go Karting, ODEON Luxe and the SnowDome all less than 5 miles away from our new homes in Shuttington. 

You can also take full advantage of the beautiful countryside surrounding Shuttington, as well as admire historic buildings like the 12th century St Matthew’s Church. 

Transport in Shuttington  

Our new homes near Tamworth boast excellent transport connections to local towns, cities, and destinations both nationally and internationally. 

For commuters and explorers alike, the M42 is 5 miles away from Shuttington and provides easy access to other areas of the Midlands, as well as connecting to the M5 and M6 for smooth car journeys across England, including to the likes of Worcestershire and Somerset. 

The 785 and 786 bus routes run through Shuttington and provide direct links to Tamworth, as well as many neighbouring towns such as Austrey, Polesworth and Warton.  

The closest train station is Tamworth Railway Station, located just under 4 miles away. Trains passing through here can take you all around the country, including to major cities like Birmingham, London and Glasgow. 

For international travel, you’ll find Birmingham Airport around 30 minutes away by car, offering direct flights to great destinations around Europe and beyond.

Schools in Shuttington

Millbridge is an ideal spot for families to settle down, with several excellent primary and secondary schools available just a short drive away. 

Parents in Shuttington can take advantage of the area’s wide range of schools, all rated ‘good’ by Ofsted. Shuttington is in the priority area of Newton Regis CE Primary School (ages 3-11) and The Polesworth School (ages 11-18). There is a free school bus funded by Warwickshire County Council to these schools from the centre of the village. Other nearby options for younger children include Florendine Primary School (ages 4-11), Amington Heath Primary School and Nursery (ages 2-11) and Landau Forte Academy Green Acres (ages 4-11), all located less than a 3-mile drive away. . For older children Landau Forte Academy (ages 11-19) or for children aged 11 to 19 with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), Two Rivers High School is also a great option located just over 4 miles from our new homes near Tamworth. 

And if your children aren’t quite old enough for primary school yet, Tamworth is also home to a range of pre-school nurseries, including Argyle Pre School Nursery (a 5-minute drive) and Maebrooke Day Nursery (7 minutes by car).
