DOORS OPEN TO SHOWCASE NEW HOME IN LOWER DARWEN

ELAN Homes has marked a milestone in its expansion with the opening of a show home in Lower Darwen.

The homebuilder initially released the first phase of its Tower Gardens development “off plan” in response to demand.

It’s now giving buyers the opportunity to see inside a professionally styled and fully furnished show home.

To celebrate, Elan is offering a package of incentives including covering the cost of Stamp Duty on selected new homes, in a deal that could save buyers thousands of pounds.

Marie Morris, sales director for Elan Homes in the North, said: “Elan is still a relatively new name in Lancashire, but we have a proven track record of building high quality homes and creating communities where people love living. We’re building across the county including in the sought-after village of Wrea Green; on the Fylde peninsula between Lytham ad Blackpool; and in Goosnargh near Preston.

“Those who registered interest in our homes in Lower Darwen were offered an exclusive first look inside the show home. We’re now extending an open invitation to anyone looking for a new home in Blackburn and Darwen to see the quality and finish we offer.”

Tower Gardens is a 76-home development, taking shape across an 8.64 acre site off Milking Lane and Millbank Road.

It offers a choice of three-bedroom semi-detached and detached designs, plus four-bedroom detached properties, with current prices from £239,995.

The show home is an example of the four-bedroom detached Brandon.

It’s a generously proportioned, double fronted property, offering 1,298 sq ft of living space.

It features a lounge that spans from the front to the rear, with three windows offering lots of natural light. On the opposite side of the hallway is a combined kitchen, dining and family room, with French doors opening out onto the garden. There’s also a handy utility and convenient cloakroom.

Upstairs, all four bedrooms are a good size. The main bedroom benefits an en-suite, leaving the family bathroom to serve the other three bedrooms.

A Brandon style property is available at Tower Gardens from £359,995. Plot 1, the Brandon, is available with Stamp Duty paid, worth £5,500, with flooring throughout and turf to the rear garden included in the price.

“Research by the HBF found that a new house is 64% more efficient than an older one with monthly energy bills of just £105. Over the course of a year, a new house is £2,200 cheaper to run than and older one and that’s not taking into account repairs and renovations those who buy a pre-owned property are likely to need to budget for,” Marie added.

“Our new homes achieve a minimum EPC rating of B. This means they’re among the most efficient available and makes them eligible for green mortgages. These are available from selected lenders and tend to offer more favourable rates than some more traditional mortgages.”

Tower Gardens will include more than five acres of public open space for residents to enjoy.

With Lower Darwen Primary School neighbouring the site, it’s ideal for families.

There’s a choice of supermarkets within a 10-minute drive while Darwen town centre is home to a mix of independent businesses plus a thriving market, while the market square hosts a variety of events.

A new spine road linking Milking Lane with Greenbank Terrace, and the M65 junction makes Tower Gardens an ideal base for commuters.

The show home at Tower Gardens is open Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5pm. For more information about the new homes in Lower Darwen see https://www.elan-homes.co.uk/developments/tower-gardens.
