ELAN BRINGS BUNGALOWS TO KINVER MARKET

THE scarcest of new builds, the bungalow, is among the properties available in Kinver as Elan Homes does its level best to provide a diverse range of housing options.

The Hyde, off Hyde Lane, offers everything from two-bedroom bungalows to substantial family-sized homes, catering for a mix of buyers.

Current availability includes a choice of two and three-bedroom homes, including a rare chance to own a brand new bungalow.

Elan regional sales director Tracey Ball said: “When we plan developments, we think about what else is available locally and how we can help address housing shortages by providing the homes people want and need. When people see the site plan for The Hyde they’re taken aback by the range of properties we’re building given the size and scale of the development. They’re also surprised that there are bungalows here as they’re so rare and often only built within retirement schemes, as social housing or for people with a disability.

“Bungalows make an idea choice for more mature buyers who want a low maintenance home. They are also well-suited to first time buyers and young families as they offer apartment style living with the addition of a garden. Plus, because they’re in such short supply it could be a good investment for the future as bungalows tend to hold their value well and can experience faster growth than other types of property.”

There are two styles of bungalow available – a semi-detached Windermere, priced from £295,000 and a detached Draycott, priced from £395,000.

The Windermere has been carefully planned to make the most of the space inside and out. There’s a well-equipped kitchen, plus a combined lounge/ dining room, with French doors from both of these rooms opening out onto the rear garden.

There are two bedrooms at the front of the property, plus a bathroom airing cupboard and handy storage.

The larger Draycott features a spacious lounge at the front, with combined kitchen, dining and family room at the rear with French doors leading out to the garden.

The main bedroom boasts an en-suite to supplement the bathroom. Those who perhaps don’t need two bedrooms could use one as a study.

Close to the River Stour, and the woodland walks of Kinver Edge, homes at The Hyde enjoy a picturesque village location, just five miles from Stourbridge.
