THE first residents have begun moving into a new housing development in a North Warwickshire village.
It’s the latest milestone being celebrated by Elan Homes at Millbridge in Shuttington, following the opening of a show home in the spring.
Elan regional sales director Tracey Ball said: “Those who reserved their new homes at Millbridge at the earliest opportunity are now starting to move in. It’s an exciting time for them and us, and a real cause for celebration as the new community we’ve planned comes alive. One of the things people like about buying a new home is that everyone is in the same position when it comes to meeting their new neighbours.
“Because Millbridge is an intimate development of just 24 homes, it’s likely all residents will soon get to know each other, with a sense of community developing as more people move in.”
Despite being small in scale, Millbridge offers a good choice of two to five-bedroom homes to cater for first time buyers, families, downsizers and a whole host of buyers.
Selected two and three-bedroom homes are available at 70% of the market value, subject to qualifying criteria. To be eligible for the discount, people must have a local link to North Warwickshire, have a household income of less than £80,000, not own another property and must live in the property they’re purchasing.
Any mortgage offer in principal and savings should not exceed the open market value of the home being purchased at a discount.
Prices at Millbridge start from £192,500 for a two-bedroom semi-detached Sutton Special under the Discount to Market Value scheme.
Open market prices range from £289,995 for a two-bedroom semi-detached Malham Special, up to £659,995 for a five-bedroom Kelsall Special.
Subject to build stage, buyers will be able to make a selection of specification choices before moving into their new home, choosing things like the finish of the kitchen or the style of bathroom tiles.
The homes are designed to be among the most efficient available, which should mean buyers moving from an older property save on their energy bills.
Located on Main Road, Shuttington, the homes will enjoy a leafy setting with existing trees and hedgerows retained and new trees planted. When complete, the new neighbourhood will include a flowering lawn, an attenuation pond that will be a wildflower wetland area, plus a wildflower meadow.
Local amenities include a public house, convenience store and village hall all within walking distance. Polesworth Secondary School and Newton Regis Primary School are within easy reach, making the homes an ideal choice for families.
Supermarkets, independent shops, cafés, restaurants and more are around 10-minutes’ drive away in Tamworth.
The show home at Millbridge is open Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5pm. For more information see https://www.elan-homes.co.uk/developments/millbridge/
