ALMOST 400 people have registered interest in just 34 new homes being built in Leigh, Elan Homes has revealed.

The homebuilder is prioritising those who have enquired about the Brook Gardens development, taking shape on Alderley Lane, and giving them exclusive early access.

The new homes in Leigh will initially be released for sale off plan via Elan’s Garrett Hall Fields development in nearby Mosley Common.

Elan regional sales and marketing director Marie Morris explained: “The level of enquiries we’ve received about the homes we’re building in Leigh reflects housing demand in the area. Local needs helped inform our plans and we’re looking forward to updating potential purchasers about our progress. Rather than wait until it’s safe to have a sales office open at Brook Gardens, which is likely to be a few months away yet, we’ll be inviting those who’ve registered their interest to meet the sales team at Garrett Hall Fields. They will be able to guide would-be homeowners through the site and floor plans, giving them the chance reserve off plan. There’s still time for would-be homeowners to join the VIP list.”

Elan is building a mix of two, three and four-bedroom homes at Brook Gardens to appeal to first time buyers, families and downsizers.

The homes will include a host of energy efficient features including solar panels, waste water heat recovery systems, triple glazed windows and electric vehicle charging points.

“Research from the HBF and Octopus Energy found that upgrading an older home to match the energy efficiency of a new build home would cost anything from £23,100 to £83,000,” Marie added.

“Reserve a new home in Leigh at the earliest opportunity and you’ll skip the renovations and repair bills and enjoy the fun of buying a new build home.  Those who reserve off plan in the development’s early stages will have plenty of opportunities to customise their new home before moving in by selecting things like the finish of the kitchen, the flooring and bathroom tiles.”

Elan is working towards opening a show home at Brook Gardens in the summer.
