ELAN LOOKS FOR LAND IN CONGLETON

With just one home available at Sycamore Gardens, Elan Homes is looking for land with development potential in Congleton.

ELAN Homes is keen to build on the success of Sycamore Gardens in Congleton by acquiring additional land to satisfy demand.

Just six months after the show home opened, nine out of 10 of the properties at the Biddulph Road development have been sold.

Andrew Morgan, land director for Elan Homes in the North, said: “There’s a real demand for new housing across Cheshire East. The local plan strategy, adopted in the summer, sets out how the borough should grow up to 2030 and indicates that more than 4,500 homes should be built in Congleton. As a niche developer we’re well placed to help meet that target as our team has a wealth of industry experience across Cheshire and the wider North West and North Wales. We have a proven track record of bringing housing developments to fruition through careful and considered planning, working closely with landowners and planners to create new neighbourhoods where people really want to live.”

Privately-owned, with its northern headquarters in Ellesmere Port, Elan has built a solid reputation as a quality builder in the region and is well-placed to take advantage of land opportunities of different sizes or with bespoke requirements, with or without existing planning consent, with speed and flexibility, while supporting and enhancing the local infrastructure.

At Sycamore Gardens, Elan built on a near two acre area of land in the former grounds of Mossley House. Many of the mature trees were retained while ensuring that the vacant land was brought back into good use and the remnants of the old building structure were cleared.

The homebuilder also made a £5,000 contribution for off-site tree planting and helped preserve the natural environment by providing bird boxes and following a mitigation strategy that ensures local ecology is protected.

The final property available at Sycamore Gardens is a four-bedroom detached Mellor, priced at £459,995.

It’s an expansive double-fronted property with an open plan kitchen and family room at its heart. There’s also a spacious lounge and dedicated dining room, plus utility and cloakroom.

Upstairs, two of the five bedrooms benefit from en-suites with the family bathroom serving the remaining bedrooms.

Marie Morris, sales director for Elan Homes in the North, added: “The new homes at Sycamore Gardens are perfectly placed in the popular Mossley area, giving buyers the opportunity to embrace both town and country living. The high specification of our homes is the ideal match for the location and we anticipate that it won’t be long before we’re celebrating a sell-out success. With just one home available, timing is everything and those who wait could find they’ve missed out on their dream move.”
