INSIDE THE NEW SHOW HOME FROM ELAN HOMES IN POYNTON

A NEW show home in Poynton is demonstrating the trend for reusing and recycling to help save the planet.

Hazelfields is an Elan Homes development offering a good mix of energy efficient new homes.

The homebuilder has also agreed a funding package to support the environment in the wider community with contributions towards Kerridge Hill Nature Reserve, plus allotments and community gardens and cycle lanes amongst other things.

Elan and its interior designers Stanza Style are also taking on the sustainable living challenge by reusing furniture from previous show homes in the showcase property at Hazelfields.

Marie Morris, sales director for Elan Homes in the North, said: “Fast interiors and homeware enable people to keep up with the latest interiors trends, but it’s not sustainable long term. By reusing furniture and soft furnishings from previous show homes and some clever styling we’re showcasing how investing in quality statement pieces can offer longevity to your interiors while helping the planet. Most people will move home with their existing furniture and along with giving them an insight into the quality and finish of our homes, this gives them an idea of how they can create a fresh new look with it.”

The four-bedroom Woodhall is a generously proportioned, double fronted family home styled in a pallet of burnt orange and steel blue.

The lounge features neutral sofas with accent cushions in burnt orange and blue, complemented by burnt orange blinds and curtains. There’s a striking feature wallpaper in these colours with abstract floral effect. To complete the look there’s a white wooden coffee table with grey top, with coordinating side tables and media unit. An industrial style wheel mirror amplifies the natural light to emphasise the spaciousness of this room.

In the open plan kitchen and dining room, there’s a vertical wavy line wallpaper in steel blue. A blue/ grey sofa provides an informal seating area, while the dining table is positioned close to the French doors to give mealtimes an alfresco feel.

A handy utility, cloakroom and a study complete the ground floor, with the latter styled with a film fan in mind. A ladder desk provides a great workspace, plus lots of storage.

In the main bedroom navy, is paired with sandy tones for an elegant look.

Alex Egan, from Stanza Style, said: “The feature wallpaper behind the headboard is open to interpretation and could either be clouds, a mountain range or waves but whatever you see it has a calming effect.”

Marble effect bedsides and dressing table add to the sense of luxury in this room.

There’s a bedroom for a budding fashionista, complete with a white wire framed dressmaker’s mannequin to coordinate and contrast with the black wicker headboard. The feature wallpaper in this room has photographs of models and inspirational quotes.

“We’ve created a fun little knight’s bedroom, which is complete with shield, helmet and toy dragon to appeal to younger visitors to the show home,” Alex added.

There’s a white wooden wardrobe and coordinating ottoman storage chest for additional storage in this room.

The guest bedroom has a boutique hotel feel with feature dandelion seed wallpaper and a blue ottoman providing storage and seating.

Current availability at Hazelfields includes four and five-bedroom detached homes, priced from £594,995. A four-bedroom Woodhall, like the show home, is available from £634,995.

Recognising buyers are likely to have a house to sell, Elan will consider part exchange. For a limited time only, selected homes are available with a package of upgrades including flooring throughout, granite kitchen worktops and turfed rear garden.

Located on Hazelbadge Road, the new homes are close to Lower Park Primary School, making it an ideal choice for families. Elan is providing additional parking for the school.

The show home at Hazelfields is open Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5pm.
