INTERIOR designers behind the newest show home at a housing development in Ilfracombe have revealed the secrets behind achieving the boutique hotel look.
Elan Homes recently opened the doors to a four-bedroom Elstone style show home at Seascape.
Feedback from visitors is that it has a glamorous feel and a real wow factor, helping give them an insight into what life could be like in a new home in Ilfracombe.
Set out over three floors, the Elstone offers 1,185 sq ft of living space.
It was styled by a team of professional designers from Edward Thomas Interiors.
Managing director Andy Richardson said: “The Elstone townhouse at Seascape was designed for a family who love entertaining, embracing new trends, and aren’t afraid to make bold interior choices.
“Using the earthy neutrals defining interiors right now, our design introduces dusky pink and gold accents for a refined, modern feel.”
At ground level there’s a lobby, entrance hall, utility and cloakroom, plus carport.
The open plan kitchen, dining and family room with French doors and Juliet balcony. At the rear, there’s a bedroom or study, with direct access out to the garden via French doors.
“Furniture is arranged deliberately to draw attention to the Elstone’s ample natural light, creating elegant spaces for formal dining, relaxing and casual conversation,” Andy added.
The top floor features three bedrooms and the family bathroom. The main bedroom spans the front of the property and benefits from a balcony. There’s also the modern essential en-suite to this bedroom.
“Wallcoverings throughout the home are designed to create different focal points –from the delicate Japanese crane wallpaper in the cloakroom to the mix of half height and full panelling in the living area and guest bedroom. Not forgetting the botanical print wallpaper panels framing the bed in the primary bedroom,” Andy explained.
“Leaning into the unexpected texture trend, our design also layers button-back seating, a marble effect dining table and a statement six-panel headboard upholstered in a luxurious, soft-touch fabric. Together, these deliver an elevated, boutique hotel style.”
Elstone style properties like the show home are available from £415,000.
Subject to build stage, buyers will have the opportunity to customise their new home before moving in by selecting things like the finish of the kitchen and bathroom tiles amongst others.
Elan regional sales director Tracey Ball said: “Viewing is particularly important for people buying a home set out over three floors as it brings the space to life, helping them understand the layout and how they might use the space. We’ve had some great feedback from visitors. There have been some audible gasps of excitement when people step into the main bedroom and see the view from the balcony for the first time. It has a real wow factor, that needs to be seen to be truly appreciated.”
The new homes at Seascape are being built within an established residential area, with nearby amenities including schools and a supermarket. The high street is less than half a mile away and is home to a range of independent retailers. There’s a choice of beaches nearby, plus Exmoor National Park is within easy reach.
The new Elstone show home is open Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5pm. For more information about Seascape see www.elan-homes.co.uk/developments/seascape.
