SUMMER LAUNCH FOR HOTLY ANTICIPATED NEW HOMES IN WARRINGTON

ALMOST a thousand people have registered interest in new homes in Warrington.

Elan Homes has been building a database of potential purchasers since it announced the acquisition of a 10.5-acre site off Manchester Road in Hollins Green last year.

Known as Hollins View, the development is due to launch this summer.

Elan regional sales and marketing director Marie Morris said: “Elan is a brand that people in the Warrington area know and trust as we’ve previously built new homes in Croft, Culcheth and Walton. It’s testament to our reputation that almost a thousand people have enquired about our new homes in Hollins Green. The housing mix at our Hollins View development was carefully planned to address local need and the volume of enquiries we’ve received demonstrates a real demand for new homes in the area.

“Work on site is progressing well and is being overseen by an award-winning site manager with decades of experience. In line with the build programme, we plan to release the first homes for sale in the summer and would encourage anyone looking for a new home in this part of Warrington to register their interest so they are the first to know when they can reserve their home here.”

Elan is building 110 new homes at Hollins View, including 77 contemporary private sale properties. There will be 33 affordable homes available for rent, shared ownership and under the First Homes scheme that means first-time buyers can buy a home for 30% to 50% less than its market value

Across the development there will be something for everyone, ranging from one-bedroom apartments to four-bedroom detached family-sized homes.

There will also be one self-build plot available as part of the development, an equipped play area and open space for residents to enjoy.

The land being developed by Elan was allocated for housing in the Warrington Local Plan 2021/22 to 2038/39, which was adopted in December 2023.

A package of community investment was agreed during the planning process and will see Elan pay more than £900,000 to the local authority with allocations for education, sports and health facilities, and greenbelt mitigation.

“Hollins Green is a popular village, and this has contributed to the high levels of interest in our new homes,” Marie added.

“Local facilities include a community shop, two pubs, a local primary school, plus two high schools nearby. Residents will be able to enjoy walking along the towpath of the Manchester Ship Canal, which adjoins the site of our new homes in Hollins Green. Warrington and Manchester are easily accessible, making it a great base for commuters.”
